Polyjacking & Foam Concrete Lifting in Bend

The modern way to raise a sunken slab: high-density polyurethane foam, injected through dime-sized ports, cured in under an hour.

How polyjacking works

A technician drills a series of penny-sized holes in the affected slab, then injects expanding structural polyurethane foam. The foam flows into the voids beneath the concrete, fills them, and — as it expands — lifts the slab back to level. The holes are patched, and you’re usually able to use the surface within the hour.

Why Bend homeowners choose foam

  • Same-day use. No multi-day cure. Drive on the driveway that afternoon.
  • Won’t wash out. Closed-cell foam is waterproof — important given how fast Central Oregon’s volcanic soils drain and erode under slabs.
  • Lightweight. Foam adds far less weight than a cement slurry, so it won’t re-load already-weak soil.
  • Clean and precise. Small holes, controlled lift, minimal mess.

Good candidates for foam lifting

Driveways, garage floors, sidewalks, pool decks, and patios that have settled but are still structurally sound. If a slab is badly cracked or crumbling, your contractor may recommend replacement instead of leveling.

Frequently asked questions

Is polyjacking better than mudjacking?

It depends on the job. Polyurethane foam is lighter, cures faster, and uses smaller holes, so it is ideal for driveways and garage floors you want to use the same day. Mudjacking can be cheaper on large, simple slabs. A local contractor can advise on the right fit.

How long until I can drive on it?

Polyurethane foam reaches most of its strength within 15–30 minutes, so most driveways are drivable the same day.

Does the foam hold up in Bend's climate?

Yes. Closed-cell polyurethane does not absorb water, so it resists the freeze-thaw cycling that is hard on Central Oregon slabs, and it will not wash out the way a poorly placed slurry can.
